How We Are Compensated

While Tim is primarily a Fee-Based Advisor, an initial consultation is always complementary. The purpose of the initial consultation is to help determine your concerns, and discover if we can be of further assistance to you. You may find that many concerns can be addressed during the free initial consultation, which can last up to an hour.

Should you both determine that more assistance is necessary, you drive the type of financial advisory engagement desired, which can take any one or combination of several forms:

  • Fee-only Financial Planning - Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced Financial Planning @ $500 - $5000/year, depending upon your needs.

                     OR

  • Advisory-based Financial Planning and Management. Financial planning is included at no extra charge, and Institutional Asset Managers are utilized to help manage any applicable investments on a fiduciary basis. Account minimums apply. Tim's Advisor Fee ranges from 1.00% decreasing to .50% of eligible Assets Under Management (AUM), depending upon the size of the account(s). Typically, the larger the account, the lower the percentage charged based on asset-level tiers. Separate custodial, brokerage, investment and/or asset management or program fees may apply, depending upon the type of Advisory Account(s) chosen.

                     OR

  • Traditional-based Financial Planning and Management - This service is best for clients who wish to invest in or purchase individual bonds, UITs, annuities, or life insurance to help implement their financial plan. Relevant broker-dealer charges, investment expenses, and/or product commissions may apply. Basic Financial Planning may be included with this type of engagement at no extra charge based upon the engagement circumstances.

As a value-added courtesy, referrals from Clients and Designated Professionals (CPAs and Attorneys) are typically not charged for a basic financial plan or their first review.
